Gary Bettman Will Discuss the Developement of Hockey in MORE DESERTS at WHF

Tretyak, Cheryshenko, Fasel and Bettman will take part in the World Hockey Forum in Moscow

Moscow, 8 June INTERFAX – The first annual World Hockey Forum (WHF) runs from the 5th to the 8th of September in Moscow.

“One of the main goals of the World Hockey Forum is to set the table for an open dialog and a regular exchange with experts between participating countries of the International Federation of Hockey. Such a constructive collaboration, in turn, contributes to the long-term growth of the popularity and development of this sport,” -a press release of the WHF states.

Invited to participate in the forum: The president of the International Federation of Hockey René Fasel, the president of “SportAccord” Francesco Ricci Bitti, the president of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation Vladislav Tretyak, the president of Hockey Canada Tom Renney, the president of the KHL Dmitry Chernyshenko, the commissioner of the NHL Gary Bettman, the leader of the Asian group for strategic planning IIHF Tomas Jay Vy.

The main thematic topics selected for discussion in the forum are the most relevant problems:

hockey in new markets: East Asia, Australia, Africa, Latin America;

developments of professional hockey clubs in Europe;

global marketing and telecommunications in hockey: North American, Asian and European perspectives;

management of modern hockey organizations with human resources, the problem of the migration of talent;

trends in the development of coaching: especially of modern coaching processes;

the development of youth and student hockey in Europe and the world;

popularity of women’s hockey;

modern technology and innovative solutions used in hockey.
